Alyssa Stanton, a Colorado native, has been dancing since the age of 3. In High School she danced with her poms team and then danced for the Colorado Eagles Chicks for 5 years while earning her college degrees. Alyssa has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from CU Boulder and a Master's in School Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado. She is currently working as a Counselor at Northglenn High School and is thrilled to have the opportunity to coach the Red Hot Poms. She encourages her students to express themselves in a way that is true to who they are and dance has been that form of expression for her throughout the years. She has shared this passion through teaching at a dance studio in Northern Colorado for several years before moving to Denver and choregraphing for several teams throughout the state of Colorado. Dance has been such an important part of her life and she is thankful to have the opprotunity to continue to dance as a 5th year member of the professional non-profit dance company, Dream Project. Alyssa is excited to embark on this journey as a coach for Northglenn's Red Hot Poms.
